ABOUT THE GOOD HORSE

The Good Horse is a podcast created by two barn besties who love horses and the life that comes with them.

We share honest conversations about riding, learning, friendship, and growing up in the equestrian world.

It’s a space built around support, curiosity, and showing up for each other—because being a good horse person is about more than what happens in the ring.

Meet Dolly — showjumper, coffee lover, always chasing the next good ride.

When she’s not hunting for vintage treasures or perfecting her coffee order, you’ll find Dolly doing what she loves most: learning through riding. She’s trained abroad in France with Lucy Olphert and recently returned from Portugal, where she spent time in the saddle, soaking up experience, perspective, and plenty of miles.

Dolly’s all about curiosity, growth, and saying yes to opportunities that involve horses, travel, and better questions—not just better rounds.

The full Dolly experience includes:

An aesthetic coffee cup (non-negotiable)

A well-loved Pony Club pin collection

A passport with a few good stamps in it

A sharp eye for a great vintage find

Meet Layla — dressage rider, resident book recommender, and keeper of the best playlists.

Layla brings the balance. She’s sharp, observant, and quietly hilarious, with a way of saying exactly what everyone else is thinking—just smarter. Between dressage training, rugby games, and snowboarding trips, she somehow keeps it all moving, usually with a great playlist and a book recommendation you didn’t know you needed.

She’s proof that you can take horses seriously without taking yourself too seriously.

Layla essentials:

A playlist for every mood (yes, even mucking stalls)

A must-read book living in her boot bag

Dressage boots next to rugby boots, because range matters
